Path of Exile 2 announced the launch of the new patch 2 days after Last Epoch's Season 2 launch. Should we be excited or disappointed?

Main Post:

I just opened Reddit after getting home from work and saw the PoE2 0.2 patch announcement for April 4th, 2 days after Last Epoch's Season 2 launch.

Now, I definitely feel excited to have 2 of my favorite games launch the big new content updates in the same week, but I also can't but feel like this is a low blow from GGG.

The launch of PoE2 0.2 will definitely hinder Last Epoch's S2 launch considering the community PoE has amassed over the years and the amount of people who'll have to pick between the 2 games due to not having enough time to play them both. On top of that, streamers and influencers who are already producing content for PoE or ARPGs in general will have to choose between focusing on one of the two games, with many of them flocking to PoE2 due to the nature of their content. Lastly, ARPGs are usually played in cycles of a few weeks to a few months, and then the players jump to another ARPG until new content for their main one is released. This will drastically affect both games, as very few of us can play LE and PoE2 simultaneously (if anyone even wanted to do that, I love to focus on one game at a time).

So, although it's not too huge of a deal, I feel like this was a dick move from GGG. There was no need to launch a patch in the same week as Last Epoch, and tbh I don't know if they'll get anything positive from that since they'll lose some players too. It just looks like a bully power move, considering they did move the launch of a PoE1 league because of the Cyberpunk's release, but chose to do a shitty move like this to a smaller studio.

As an ARPG fan, I'm really excited to play both games (I'll even have more stuff to play than I can afford :D), but I'm also disappointed in GGG, especially if this negatively affects the future of LE.

Elon Musk streamed PoE 2 from someone elses account

Main Post:

Around 4 days ago Elon Musk streamed PoE 2 from a plane to showcase starlink, getting pretty much the entire poe section on twitch, including asmongold, to react to him struggling to kill +1 arbiter on stream.

Well turns out the character he played on isn't actually his, and is mostly played by someone else, playing from Asia.

List of evidence:

  1. At 15:46 in the vod, we can see that his character name is MonkEBiznizz
  2. Looking at the trade message when trying to buy items from his supposed account, you can see that both the stash tab name and message are in chinese, which is a telltale sign that the person is using the HK client.
  3. Getting invited and going to his hideout to actually do the trade, you can see Elon is playing on Hong Kong realm, despite being in Florida and using the Texas realm on stream? Impressive for starlink to let you use a realm on the other side of the planet!

While i'd consider the evidence above conclusive, it is completely unnecessary. Its clear to anyone remotely familiar with the invoker playstyle that if Elon actually did play an invoker to level 93 AND farmed enough currency to have HoWA and 3 complete arbiter sets, he'd probably not struggle to do the most basic rotation on a stationary target, while walking into a stationary beam (15:20 in the vod, endgame boss spoiler warning.)

In conclusion Elon probably loaned the account from someone. Unless of course can read chinese, prefers higher ping and got very nervous and lost all mechanics as soon as he turned on the stream, maybe turbulence?
